Hotspots South East is a BT county wide campaign to increase access to and awareness of wireless broadband via BT Openzone wi-fi hotspots, helping businesses connect to broadband and extend the services they offer to customers.
BT’s network transformation project - 21CN - is set to have a significant impact on the South East with the migration of over 3.7 million customer lines, with a capital investment of over £740 million plus; replacing equipment at more than 650 exchanges by 2011.
More than 99% of premises across the South East now have access to broadband.
