Home office workplace considerations

A dedicated, work-condusive, well lit, ventilated and safe as well as orthopaedically sound seating all form part of the important set of criteria to consider when setting up the home-based office.
Added to this is the need to take sensible measures to ensure energy consumption is efficiently managed. These responsibilites fall equally upon the employer and employee and best practice suggests that the line manager (on behalf of the employer) physically checks and signs such as H&S check lists.
