The 2008 MATiSSE Smart Commute Week One in Five Challenge…

One in Five was the theme chosen for the 2008 Smart Commute Week. It only requires one in five of each employer’s workforce to work from home or work flexible hours at least once per week (e.g. one day in five), or for your business to reduce business travel mileage by 20% (e.g. one meeting in five) or commute by alternative means (car share, cycle, bus, park &ride, or train), once a week, to achieve the MATiSSE Smarter Working Initiative 'one in five' aim of reducing peak-time traffic volumes by, you’ve guessed it, 20%.
