eHampshire worked with BT and the members of the eHampshire partnership to make sure that all the telephone exchanges in the county were enabled for broadband. 

Despite this however, there are still some areas of the county that are not covered by broadband.  This can be for many reasons including distance from the exchange or quality of line, many of the afected areas are remote rural locations but some are also in surprisingly built up places, these so called ‘not spots’ or 'slow spots' are a problem for Hampshire’s Knowledge Based Economy and we are mapping slow broadband issues in Hampshire so that we can work with our partners to reduce their impact.
