![]() British Telecom (BT) BT is one of the largest if not the largest exponents of Smarter-Working including home based Teleworking. BT’s commitment to Teleworking came into prominence through it’s participation in ‘SUSTEL’ (Sustainable Telework) the European Community/Information Society Technology Programme as part of its Options 2000/Workabout Programme. Today, around 9,500 staff work from home and a further 63,000 work independently from multiple locations. The BT experience is so good that it now offers consultancy services to clients under it’s ‘BT Workstyle’ Banner.
